Canton Fair Information
The China Import and Export Fair (CIEF) - also called Canton Fair - established in the spring of 1957, and held in Guangzhou City, in each of the spring and autumn seasons, to date has a history of 62 years.

Transportation at the Canton Fair
1.By Metro
There are 5 metro lines in Guangzhou. You can go directly to the Pazhou Complex on Line 8. The fare ranges from 2 to 12 yuan. Most signs and notices in metro stations are in English.

2.By Taxi
Taxis follow the "metered price" principle. The starting fare is 7 yuan (excluding fuel surcharge: 1 Yuan) for the first 2.3 kilometers, and is 2.2 or 2.6 yuan per kilometer after that.
Tips:
- Print the address of where you want to go in Chinese to show your driver.
- The demand for taxis in Guangzhou is very high, especially during peak hours: 08 a.m.-09 a.m., lunch and dinner.
3.By Hotel Bus
Most star-rated hotels will offer a direct transportation service from the hotel to the complex, but the schedules are very different for each hotel. Ask for the schedule at the hotel lobby when you check in.
Tip: To make your time flexible, we suggest taking the hotel bus to the complex and taking a taxi or metro to return to the city center.

Canton Fair Invitation
1.Invitation Card
The Canton Fair invites buyers to participate in the Fair, there are two types of Invitation Letter: Electronic Invitation Letter and Paper Invitation Letter.
Paper Invitation Card:
This type of invitation card is a prerequisite for visitors to the Canton Fair who apply for a visa to China. One card can be shared by three representatives of the same company, a copy is not valid. It is sent by mail.
Electronic Invitation Card:
Another type of official invitation extended by the Fair. One copy is valid and can be shared by a group of representatives of the same company. It is sent by email.
With the Invitation Letter, buyers will be able to:
Apply for a visa to come to China; Complete registration procedures to enter the fair for free. To facilitate merchants in processing a visa to enter China on time and without any problems, when applying for a Canton Fair invitation letter, they will have to provide important information such as their names, the nationality of the applicant and the name, address of their company.

If you have been to the fair before and have the buyer card - the IC card, please note: this card can be used in multiple sessions, with which you can enter the complex directly, it is easy and saves time. If you are a new buyer, you must apply for an invitation letter.

2.Visa Processing
Invited foreign buyers have to go to the Chinese embassy (or consulate) with the invitation letter issued by the Canton Fair (paper or electronic invitation letter containing information such as the name and nationality of the merchant participating in the Fair and the name and address of their company) to complete the procedures for obtaining a visa to enter China.

Canton Fair Registration
Visitors to the Canton Fair must register before visiting the Fair, and have their Visitor Cards (IC Cards) stamped and confirmed at the time of registration. Access to the Fair is only granted to those who have a confirmed visitor card.
Notes:
- Registration must be done upon your arrival in Guangzhou by yourself, it cannot be done online.
- Please bring the fair invitation to the Fair Visitor Registration Office for registration.
- The visitor card will also be valid for the next period and onwards. If your visitor card is lost, it is necessary to register again and will cost CNY200 as a service charge.
